For women who've tried everything and keep hitting the same wall. The missing piece isn't more willpower or another specialist. It's someone who can finally see all of you.
Apply for Hybrid ProgramYou've spent years — and real money — trying to figure out what's wrong. Blood tests, specialists, elimination diets, naturopaths, consultations. You've been told it's stress. Or just how it is. Or that everything looks "fine." And yet here you are, still not feeling well.
You were right to look for answers. You were right to invest in your health. And you are absolutely right to expect results.
It doesn't have to take years of medical gaslighting and a poor quality of life to get there. You just need someone who looks at all of it — not just one piece.
"If you've collected a few letters of the alphabet — ADHD, CPTSD, PCOS, PMDD, IBS — this isn't a coincidence. These conditions don't exist in isolation. And neither does your healing."
Orla Swan, @thehealthhhunA gastroenterologist looks at your gut. An endocrinologist looks at your hormones. A therapist looks at your mind. A nutritionist looks at your food. Nobody looks at it altogether.
You get bloods done. They come back "all clear." You get a scan. "Nothing to see." You see another specialist, describe your symptoms in detail, and leave with a shrug — or worse, a new label that explains nothing and changes nothing. And you walk away wondering if it's all in your head.
It's not. When the system can't figure out what's wrong with you, it becomes: sounds like a you problem, deal with it. You leave with another prescription, or worse — the devastating feeling that you're making it up.
You're not making it up. The system just isn't designed to see you whole.
This is a heavily under-researched space for women, and I call bullshit on "this is just how it is." Women deserve better — and I'm on a mission to create that change.
"Gone are the days you need to continue suffering with hormones, digestion and your relationship with food. There are so many solutions — you just haven't had someone who can see and treat them all at once."
6 years of clinical coaching experience
I've collected a few letters of the alphabet myself. ADHD. CPTSD. PCOS. PMDD. OCD. IBS. POTS. A list that long with minimal guidance on relief feels like you're damaged beyond repair.
For a long time I did what most do. I focused on nutrition, got the blood tests, took the supplements, tried to manage my hormones. I worked on my mindset. And I made some progress — but something kept feeling missing.
What I eventually understood is that none of it works in isolation. Your gut and your emotional state are the same system. The food you eat can cause inflammation and bloating, yes — but so can the mental and emotional state you're in when you eat it. The nervous system state you bring to exercise matters as much as the exercise itself. When your sleep is poor, your nutrition is off, and your nervous system is fried, you'll perceive ordinary conflict as catastrophic — because your body has no capacity left.
I spent years trying to fix individual parts of myself before I realised the only thing that actually worked was understanding my body as a whole. Not rejecting my diagnoses — but learning about them, using them as a guide to see what my body needs from me. Working with the cards I'd been dealt rather than spending my energy wishing I'd been given different ones.
I built Hybrid because this program didn't exist anywhere else. The food, the gut, the hormones, the nervous system, the trauma, the identity, the emotional body — with precision and personalisation. These cases are complex, but that's exactly where I thrive. All in one place.
If you struggle with cravings, energy crashes, digestive flares or mood dips — you've probably been told, directly or indirectly, that it's a discipline problem. That if you just tried harder, things would be different.
Here's the reality: when your hormones are dysregulated, your blood sugar is unstable, or your gut is inflamed, your body is running in a state of low-level crisis. It sends urgent signals — cravings, fatigue, brain fog, digestive pain — that no amount of willpower can override, because willpower requires a regulated system to work from. You can't discipline your way out of a biology problem.
And the same is true emotionally. The state your nervous system is in directly affects how your gut functions, how your hormones behave, and how you relate to food. These things aren't separate — they're completely intertwined.
This is one of dozens of things I see clearly that the standard approach misses. When we work together, we're not fighting your body. We're finally working with it.
"You don't get this anywhere else — the connection of it all. Not nutrition alone, not hormones alone, not therapy alone. The whole picture, treated as one."
Hybrid works across four interconnected areas simultaneously — because that's how your body actually works.
PCOS, PMDD, PMOS, irregular or absent cycles, coming off hormonal contraceptives, fertility preparation, luteal phase support, hormonal acne, hair loss.
IBS-C, IBS-D, IBS-mixed, chronic bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, food sensitivities, gut-brain axis. Your gut is directly connected to your hormones, skin, mood, and energy.
Somatic work, emotional regulation, identifying nervous system patterns (fight, flight, fawn, freeze), trauma healing, breathwork, identity work beyond diagnosis.
Binge eating, food noise, restriction cycles, body neutrality, deconditioning diet culture, mindful eating, blood sugar balancing. Freedom from the mental load food carries.
Across all conditions — because no two clients are the same, and no one issue ever comes alone.
A client came with IBS-mixed — fluctuating between constipation and diarrhoea, daily bloating, digestive pain that was affecting her work and social life. She'd tried low FODMAP, elimination diets, and multiple specialists.
We worked on her gut-brain axis, meal timing, blood sugar regulation, somatic tools for nervous system regulation, and addressed the emotional eating patterns that were worsening her symptoms.
A client came with undiagnosed PCOS (discovered during our work together), binge eating, poor body image, and severe inflammation causing her clothes not to fit. She'd been to multiple doctors without answers.
We addressed blood sugar, hormonal nutrition, her relationship with food including the restriction-binge cycle, nervous system regulation, and body image at its root.
A client came with PMDD causing severe depression for two weeks every month during her luteal phase, disordered eating, low body image, unhealed trauma, and antidepressants that weren't working.
We worked across hormones, nutrition, gut health, food relationship, nervous system, trauma healing and emotional processing — simultaneously, because they're all connected.

"Orla literally transformed my life. I was at a point of completely losing control and she helped get me back on track. She taught me tools and skills to help myself but also reminded me that I was the one who needed to put in the work. She reassured me during times where I couldn't understand my feelings and made me feel at ease. She didn't rush me into talking about anything and let me take it at my pace. She was there for me when I couldn't be there for myself. She had taught me life long skills and tools that I will carry with me forever and has allowed me to gain control back."Client Feedback
"I've been through a few therapists and I have not had such amazing progress with any of them in years as I have with you in the space of a few months. Using different methods and techniques to unveil a better version of myself."Hybrid Client
"I had a tough few days this week due to my period — but I had the tools to ensure the emotions and hormones didn't take over and set me back. A few months ago I would have been non-stop crying, not understanding what my body needed. Now I have the understanding of how to bring myself back to present."Hybrid Client
"I feel food has been so much better this week. No guilt, no emotional eating despite some strong emotions. I've been enjoying my food and actually feeling satisfied — I would never have said that six months ago."Hybrid Client
"I had my first period in about 4 years with no pains or diarrhoea this week. So thank you! My period came this week — I'm honestly so proud of myself for pushing out of my comfort zone and going to the gym while on my period, something I've never done before."Hybrid Client
"I was actually proud of how neutral I was with myself yesterday when in a bikini — I'd usually be so self conscious and picking myself apart. But yesterday I was okay and didn't really care about how I looked. When I was walking home I was actually like 'I can't wait to tell Orla!'"Hybrid Client
"This year feels like the year I'm finally putting myself first. Last year I just didn't speak to anyone so they wouldn't ask how I was. Now I'm slowly learning to say when I've got too much on, and I feel like I can cope so much better already. Will be forever grateful I reached out."Hybrid Client
"Working with Orla has been an absolute game changer. Her ability to normalise, explain and explore every emotion has been unbelievable. I have found so much peace, self acceptance and happiness in who I am. I am now truly experiencing the joy and happiness in life."Hybrid Client
"I feel so much lighter this week. More rested and calm. My mental health is in a better way, my mood has been better. I feel like I am letting go of some things and just letting them be."Hybrid Client
"I told my partner today I can feel myself coming back — the part of me that I lost the past two years. I've even asked to go out on Friday night, where as I've avoided that for the past two years because I was so conscious of myself."Hybrid Client
Feeling unwell isn't just a physical experience. It costs you time, mental energy, focus, confidence, and opportunities — often without you even realising how much.
When your gut is unpredictable, you plan your life around your symptoms. When your hormones are dysregulated, two weeks of every month are written off. When food takes up enormous mental space — the planning, the guilt, the obsessing — there's very little left over for anything else. When your nervous system is fried, every decision feels harder than it should be.
This is the real cost of staying stuck. Not just the discomfort — but everything you're not doing, not pursuing, not showing up for, because your body and mind are consumed by just getting through the day.
Energy
Having enough in the tank to actually pursue the things that matter to you — career, relationships, creativity, goals.
Mental space
When food, your body and your symptoms stop taking up so much room in your head, you get that space back for everything else.
Presence
Actually being in the room — not managing symptoms, planning your next meal, or wondering how your gut will behave at dinner.
Confidence
The kind that comes from understanding your body, trusting it, and knowing you have the tools to support it — no matter what comes up.
"Investing in this isn't an indulgence. It's what gives you your capacity back — so you can actually build the life you keep putting on hold."
No. Hybrid is coaching — forward-focused, practical, and educational, with somatic and nervous system tools woven throughout. We do go deep on emotions and trauma processing, but this is not a substitute for clinical therapy. Many clients work with both simultaneously and find they complement each other powerfully.
Absolutely not. Some clients are on SSRIs, stimulants for ADHD, hormonal contraceptives, GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, or other medication — and stay on them throughout. Others come off certain medications during our time together, but that is always their own decision, guided by their doctor. The goal is to add the missing pieces, not remove what's helping.
No. Many clients come without a formal diagnosis — they just know something isn't right. Others arrive with a long list of diagnoses and no idea what to do with them. Both are welcome. I work with what's actually happening in your body, not just what's been named.
Almost certainly — because nothing else does what Hybrid does. Nutrition coaching, therapy, gut health protocols, and hormone testing each address one piece. Hybrid addresses all of them simultaneously, with the understanding that your gut, hormones, nervous system, and emotional world are one interconnected system.
A minimum of 3 months. Real change in your gut, hormones, and nervous system takes time — but most clients notice meaningful shifts within the first few weeks. Many continue beyond 3 months because they're not ready to leave.
All sessions are online via Zoom. I have clients across Ireland, Australia, Dubai, the UK, and beyond.
If you're ready to stop managing symptoms one at a time and finally get the whole picture treated — book your chemistry call. It's a no-pressure conversation to see if Hybrid is the right fit for you.
